Liniker e os Caramelows Liniker Barros (lyric) Renata Essis (chorus) Eder Araujo (saxophone) Fernando Trz (keyboard) William Zaharanski (guitar) Rafael Barone (Bass) Péricles Zuanon (drums) Marja Lenski (percussion) Led by a transsexuel singer with knock out charisma, this is the soul sensation which has arrived from Brazil and which we haven't finished talking about. It is not for nothing that the group is called 'The Toffees'. Because they are soft, sweet, chewy, amusing, endearing. In less than three years , the Paulites have succeeded in exploding the YouTube audience assessment meters and conquered Brazil with their hybrid tropical soul which fits perfectly into the footsteps of a Tim Maia. Released in 2016, their first album 'Remonta' is a pure chef d'oeuvre of 'funzy', the style which they have created: a sort of languorous funk interspersed with explosions of hard rock. A cross-pollinated and contrasting groove just like their native Brazil. Recorded on April 6th 2018 athe Marbrerie, Montreuil, Banlieues bleues festival Réalisation, Stéphan Jourdain

Lucky Peterson, tribute to Jimmy Smith Lucky Peterson (organ, lyric) Nicolas Fomer (trumpet) Kekyn Crapp (guitar) Ahmad Compaoré (drums) Twelve years after the death of Jimmy Smith, Lucky Peterson, pays a tribute to the master of the Hammond organ.' My father brought me up on blues before I could even walk, and I played the organ before having learnt to speak.'Lucky Peterson, The precocious, classy little baby's bottle was thrown into music as soon as he was born.To this die-hard blues man, who is the guardian of the flame, he was able to add a well-chosen dose of groove. There is no doubt that it was a suitable way to honour Jimmy Smith, who was a reference in the realm of jazz soul and with whom he had exchanged in his youth. Finally this dive into history reminds us how much the hymns of the 1950's and 1960's remain incredibly sensual, enough to encourage the choir of a church to dance... LLaurent Bardainne ' Tigre d'Eau Douce ' Laurent Bardainne (Tenor saxophone ) Arnaud Roulin (Hammond organ) Sylvain Daniel (bass) Philippe Gleizes (drums) Tenor saxophonist, Laurent Bardainne is one of the most discreet and yet active musicians on the Paris scene. It is difficult not to come across him when you like jazz and its related music : we can hear him in the Supersonic by Thomas de Pourquery, alongside Camélia Jordana with Lost, with his rock group Poni Hoax, in the electro detours Sabrina & Samantha, and even at the heart of Limousine, with whom he released an excellent recording in the spring. L'Été suivant. Laurent Bardainne comes back today with this incredibly free quartet, entitled Tigre d'Eau Douce. Music which recalls Albert Ayler's Laments and John Coltrane's freeest hours, all of which is crisscrossed by ballads and soothing moments in the colours of Soul spirituality played out on the Hammond B3 organ by Arnaud Roulin.
