Salif Keita Acoustic at the Carreau du Temple, Paris The 'Golden voice of Africa' was the first artist to perform at the Carreau du Temple, a 'new' Parisian venue, recently reopened after years of neglect. The inaugural concert, recorded on Friday 25 April 2014, was the perfect alliance of diverse cultures, carried by the high and powerful voice of this adoptive 'griot' - Salif Keita is a direct descendent of the Mali Empire's founder, Soundiata Keita - and a historical landmark, elegantly restored. Glass, cast iron, brick and wood have given a new life to this former market hall, whose Eiffel-style nineteenth century metallic structure is so typically Parisian. A historical venue and an artist who has freed himself from tradition and follows his own path. With Salif Keita, lyrics Aminata Danté et Bah Kouyaté, lyrics Mamadou Diabaté, Kora Souleymane Kouyaté, N'goni Guy Nwogang, drums Ousmane Kouyaté, Guitar Playlist : Katolon M'Bamba Tu vas me manquer (I miss you) Yamore Saranfino Namanamani Mandjoue kanté Coucou (Hello) Tekere Recorded at the Carreau du temple on March 2014 TV idrector, Josselin Carré

Bokanté Malika Tirolien, voice Michael League, guitar & voice Chris McQueen, guitar & voice Bob Lanzetti, guitar Roosevelt Collier, steel guitar Jamey Haddad, percussion Keita Ogawa, percussion André Ferrari, percussion An experiment conceived by Snarky Puppy founder and GroundUP Music creator Michael League (who has traded his bass in for a baritone guitar in this group), the process of formation was all but conventional. The music and some of the melodies were written by League, demoed while on tour with other bands, and then sent to Tirolien with lyrical concepts attached. Tirolien then wrote lyrics and melodies, demoing and ping-ponging the new content back to Michael. Many of the musicians had never even met until the first day of recording. By the end of the week-long session in upstate New York's legendary Dreamland Studios, the band felt abnormally cohesive. 'Unity was paramount in the formation of this group,' observed League. 'Though the ensemble is multi-lingual, multi-cultural, and multi-generational, we all feel connected as musicians and people. And in combining our different accents I feel that there is a strangely common and poignant sound, one that can reach and relate to listeners around the world.' Recorded on July 20, 2018 at the Malta Jazz Festival TV Director, Amos Rozenberg

Yamandu Costa and Vincent Peirani Yamandu Costa (Guitar) Vincent Peirani (Accordion) A world premiere for an unprecedented first performance and the encounter between two artists whom we adore, Vincent Peirani and Yamandu Costa; one of the greatest Brazilian guitarists just like Baden Powell, which says everything about a musician who creates enthusiasm at every one of his concerts and who is an idolised star in his own country. Vincent Peirani is the musician that all the jazz and world music venues in the world invite! Accordion Prodigy, he never ceases to explore the richness of an instrument of which only angels know the secrets. An explosive encounter between two sublime artists who create on stage a space which goes beyond music in order to share with us something which is in the order of joy! A true encounter from which we will certainly come out of changed, full of melodies and of rhythms, making us feel even stronger the beauty of Porquerolles and the chance we have of being able to experience these moments.
