Mike Stern (guitar) Niels Lan Doky (piano) Richard Bona (bass) Manu Katché (drums) The Cameroonian international artist Richard Bona at first became known as a bass player in the company of jazz musicians before beginning a career as a singer and composer in 1999. He interprets his own songs and now has more than half a dozen albums under his belt. Jazz Grand Prix winner of the SACEM, Richard Bona never cheats, but then, he doesn't need to. For those who may be unaware, Mike Stern is one of the greatest jazz-rock guitarists, and has been for more than twenty years now. Pupil of Pat Metheny, he was at first spotted by Billy Cobham and then by Miles Davis at the beginning of the 1980's, he was then taken on by Jaco Pastorius and an active member of 'Steps Ahead' with Danny Sanborn before starting out on a promising solo career . The drummer and percussionist Manu Katché has been for some thirty years one of the most sought after musicians at an international level on the jazz, rock and pop scenes. He became known in 1986 thanks to his participation in the album 'So' by Peter Gabriel and since then has been performing non-stop in groups or for recordings, as leader or as sideman. Whatever the context he demonstrates his magnificent technique. Recorded at Jazz in Marciac Festival (Circus top), on August 6, 2018 TV Director, Jean-Marc Birraux

Erik Truffaz (trumpet) Marcello Giuliani (bass) Benoît Corboz piano (Fender Rhodes) Marc Erbetta (drums) With special guests Nya (voice) Guillaume Perret (saxophone) The trumpet player of Swiss origin, Erik Truffaz,is one of the first European jazzmen to have successfully approached drum'n'bass. In 1991 he founded a quartet which today is composed of Benoît Corboz (keyboards), Marcello Giuliani (bass) and Marc Erbetta (drums and percussion),he explores electronic jazz-fusion much in the same way as Miles Davis and recorded several albums starting from 1994. After an incursion into into rock at the head of his Ladybird Quartet created in 2001, he returned to the formula which had made him successful. In his world, always deeply influenced by Miles Davis, the stridencies of rock alternate with the poetic respites, the rousing grooves with more calm ballads. Sadeh 21 Choreography, Ohad Naharin Lights and scenography, Avi Yona Bueno (Bambi) Music, Maxim Waratt Costume, Ariel Cohen Video surtitling, Raz Friedman With Batsheva - The young Ensemble Ohad Naharin The Young Ensemble is a nursery for young performers coming from the four corners of the globe, some of whom will go on to swell the ranks of the Batsheva Danse Company. But as far as Ohad Naharin is concerned, it is also and above all a class of excellence : the proof through Sadeh21, one of the major pieces of the Batsheva 's repertoire. Created by Ohad Naharin in collaboration with his dancers, Sadeh21 shows movement in its simple nakedness. Dance, with slowing down effects and sudden accelerations takes on the look of a quasi cinematographic odyssey : 'a journey by body'.Sadeh21in the end turns out to be one of the most endearing pieces amongst those by Maestro Naharin. Speaking of experience 'Radiating and radioactive, dangerous and exciting', the artistic director of the Batsheva gets it right. Everything in Sadeh21 is exceptional. To the point that this choreography, acclaimed from its beginnings, plunges the spectator into a unique emotional state. An effect of pleasure and addiction are guaranteed. Recorded on October 21, 2018 at the Théâtre national de la Danse Chaillot TV Director, Tommy Pascal

Deca Dance Choreography, Ohad Naharin Dancers of the Batsheva Dance Company Lights, Avi Yona Bueno (Bambi) Costumes, Rakefet Levi (except Seder Sharon Eyal) Designed for the first time in 2000, the program then celebrated the 10 years worth of creations of Ohad Naharin with the company, offering a striking collage of excerpts from his work. The piece has been steadily reworked and enhanced, and now gives the Israeli choreographer a chance to display his various inspirations - from the most demonstrative movement to very intimate expression - as well as to interrogate the key elements of his work. More than a collection of selected works, it is a genuine recreation whose repertoire provides continuously revisited material. Energetic and sensual, always walking a fine line between body and soul emotions, dance becomes its own theater. An enthralling experience for spectators, caught up in a whirlwind of unforgettable movements, sounds and images delivered by a company at its best. The visionary choreographer also devised the music (Maxim Waratt, Maurice Ravel, Arvo Pärt, Seefeel, Chari Chari, Antonio Vivaldi, Ali Hassan Kuban, Avi Belleli, Dan Makov...), the lights and the scenography. Directed for video by Luc Riolon - 2013 (75 min) Recorded on 2013 at the Théâtre national de Chaillot

Zakir Hussain (tabla) Chris Potter (saxophone) Dave Holland (double bass) The Indian composer and percussionist Zakir Hussain is THE tabla player of his generation. The tabla is a percussion instrument from the north of India which does indeed give rhythm to the musician's compositions as much when he is performing solo as here when he is accompanied by the bass player Dave Holland or the tenor saxophonist Chris Potter. Considered as a national treasure in India, this artist accrues performances with no less than 150 concerts per year and a career which began at 12 years of age! Perhaps the most impressive virtuoso of the tenor saxophone according to Michel Contat of Télérama, Chris Potter comes from the generation of saxophonists who came to the fore during the course of the 1990's alongside Joshua Redman, James Carter, Chris Cheek and Seamus Blake. Very quickly, this native of Chicago attracted attention because of his succulent tenor sound and a very personal manner of constructing his solos, imposing himself as a reference amongst his peers. Dave Holland's class! This majestic double bass with a round sound. A self-taught double bass player whose atypical manner of playing and magnificent sound were quickly noticed by a certain Miles Davis. A great composer as well. A great leader too.Together with Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Stan Getz or heading up his own groups, the Brit could never be happy with the minimum. Con Brio Ziek McCarter, vocal Brendan Liu, trumpet Marcus Stephens, saxopone Benjamin Andrews, guitar Patrick Glynn, keyboard Jonathan Kirchner, bass Andrew Laubacher, percussion Seven musicians formed Con Brio in 2003 with the same passion for the Bay Area's signature funk and psychedelic soul. San Francisco is where Sly and The Family Stone, Tower Of Power, The Headhunters and Darondo flourished. Con Brio produced their first EP, Kiss The Sun, in 2015 and are already famous on the West Coast for their electric concerts and Ziek McCarter's velvety vocals. After touring the US and Europe alongside veterans Galactic and Fishbone, the Californians headed to the studio to put their buzzing live energy on record in 2016. The result is called Paradise, an album in which 'We tried to create a narrative arc in the same way as we link tracks when we play live,' says McCarter. Con Brio has set the stages at the top US festivals Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Summerfest on fire. A good omen. Recorded on 2017, July 13th at the Jazz Festival in Vienne TV Director, Nicolas Micha
