Tigran, Festival International de Jazz de Montreal Tigran, Hamasyan, piano With pianist/composer Tigran Hamasyan, potent jazz improvisation fuses with the rich folkloric music of his native Armenia. Turning 30 in 2017, he's one of the most remarkable and distinctive jazz-meets-rock pianists of his generation. A piano virtuoso with groove power, Tigran's latest adventurous project is 2017's An Ancient Observer, his second solo album, his eighth overall as a sole leader, and his sophomore recording for Nonesuch. (Overall, this is his eighth recording as a sole leader.) Conceptually, An Ancient Observer is a poignant album focusing on the art of observing. Tigran's career has included an impressive number of accolades, including top piano award at the 2013 Montreux Jazz Festival and the grand prize at the prestigious 2006 Thelonious Monk Jazz Piano Competition. New Orleans, Street Jazz & Dirty Rap Documentary by Samuel Petit New Orleans is like no other city in the United States. Proud of its French past, its heart beats to the rhythm of jazz - the city even gave its name to a specific style of jazz. Director Samuel Petit follows Rusty Lazer, a DJ and producer of 'bounce music' - a local style of hip hop -, members of the legendary Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and Trombone Shorty, a musician who has become a symbol of the city's new musical tradition. They tell of the scars of a community deeply wounded by hurricane Katrina and of the way its individual members try to overcome the trauma. Recorded on 2013

Ornette | Apparitions Antonin Tri Hoangn, Alto saxophone , clarinet, Geoiffroy Gesser, Tenor saxophone , Pierre Borel, Amtp saxophone, Aymeric Avice, trompet, Isabel Sörling, voice, Romain Clerc-Renaud, piano, Keyboard, Thibault Cellier, double bass, Yann Joussein, drums, Elie Duris, drums La musique d'Ornette Coleman a changé le cours des choses. Recorde on April 19 avril 2016 at Banlieues Bleues, MC93 TV Director, Stéphane Jourdain
