The question arises as the recent crisis has accelerated a rupture in our society and prompted the need for change. Incidentally, it has raised awareness, especially among the younger generations, who have come to question the meaning of their actions and lives. This search for a new path has encouraged the development of Social Business. In this film, we attempt to define Social Business, look at its origins and catalysts, and grasp its challenges, such as measuring the impact, financing, and balancing between the social and business aspects. As an illustration, we have chosen Cambolac, a social business at a pivotal period of its development. It is a handicraft company located near the Angkor temples in Cambodia, founded in 2011 by a French ex-trader and asset manager in Paris, following a genuine personal revolution, who realized that Angkor remained one of the poorest regions in Cambodia despite the 3 millions yearly visitors. As for the analytical side, we have interviewed numerous professionals in Europe, the US and Cambodia, from the worlds of NGOs, Business, Consulting, Finance and Education. This movie raises more questions than it gives answers. Our goal is for it to be inspiring, thought-provoking and overall raises consciousness on today's current issues so as to build a more sustainable tomorrow.
