                                                        In 1789, French Revolution began. Rococo art, praising the life of the aristocracy, fell out of grace and fashion. Artists joined in on the political turbulence, developing a new aesthetic based on the cultural tradition of Rome. Later, it was termed 'Neoclassicism'.
