Tom makes a few painful attempts to remove the sliver with no success. Hearing Tyke's whimpers, a sympathetic Jerry decides to help Tom out. In the end, Tom and Jerry get the splinter out but not before inflicting equal doses of pain while trying a myriad of home remedies from a hot bath, to tweezers, to adhesive tape, to glue and more!
