He first looks to Spike for companionship but that doesn't end well. Then he actively seeks a new mouse-mate, but there's a lot of crazy mice out there, especially one named Mickey. While featuring several historically designed buildings and traditional clothing NinjaGo is a modern setting incorporating large metropolises with skyscrapers current-age (and futuristic) vehicles modern electronics and semi-robotic exo-suits among other temporal displacements.
